Hello Brinker Elementary School,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Music Teacher at Brinker Elementary.  My primary role is to instruct and encourage music students through their musical journey of learning, growth and development.  We will cover all of the National and State Standards for Music Education so your student will be best prepared for musical endeavors they pursue in the future.

About Me:

I have recently relocated to Dallas, TX from “The Entertainment Capital of the World” Las Vegas, NV.  I have family in the DFW area and have taught in the DFW area, previously.  I am so happy to back in North Texas!  I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri and am a proud mother of three adult children.  I love visiting family, cooking, being in the outdoors and spending my free time singing for local community events.  You may have caught me performing The National Anthem at major sporting events such as Major League Baseball’s Kansas City Royals, Major League Soccer’s Sporting KC, American Hockey League’s Las Vegas Silver Knights, NBA-G League’s Las Vegas Ignite, Indoor Football League’s Las Vegas Knight Hawks and The Las Vegas Little League Opening Ceremony.  I really enjoy singing the National Anthem and giving back by representing my country and honoring those who have bravely served in the United States Military.

My Background:

I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Business with Vocal Performance and Business Administration, as well as, a Master’s degree in Music Education from Boston University.  I come to Brinker Elementary with twenty-plus years of music teaching experience at all grade levels.  I have served as a leader and mentor to other music teachers and musicians for many years and am well versed in various areas of music curriculum, aiming to provide the very best music education for my students.  I am very excited to be teaching the students of Brinker Elementary School and am thrilled to be joining the Brinker Community!
